IT’S TIME! I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS!

Oh how our FATHER rejoiced in the ASCENSION of His Son! You and I were created to be loved and to love, and ever since we sinned in Adam and Eve, rejected our Father’s love and plan, we were exiled from our Father’s House. With the Ascension of His Son, our Savior, our FATHER REJOICES MIGHTILY because once again - at last - He hears a human voice in His Home, in His paradise!

And now our FATHER’S heart overflows with longing as He awaits your arrival, awaits to hear your voice and take you into His loving embrace. And He longs not just for your arrival, but for every human person: your neighbor, coworker, your boss, the clerk at the grocery store! We have so much good work to do!

And we have HOPE - where JESUS has gone before, we will follow! Listen to this promise of JESUS:

“In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.”  John 14:2-3

OUR FATHER is asking us, His love urges us to share our HOPE with others: through our words and our love.

THEY SHARED THE HOPE THEY HAD IN JESUS WITH EVERYONE!

With Pentecost, our FATHER AND THE SON opened up the heavens and poured out in abundance the HOLY SPIRIT, their Love into our hearts.

At the first PENTECOST, when the apostles/disciples received the HOLY SPIRIT, the fire of God’s Love, they were set on fire and couldn’t help but proclaim with all their being the mighty works of God, His amazing love, the power of the Crucifixion, death, and resurrection of JESUS!

And oh, how they loved one another and cared for one another. St. Luke describes how there were no needy persons in that first community of disciples. They loved and cared for one another, spent time in fellowship and prayer together.

“By this all men will know you are my disciples: if you have love for one another.”   John 13:35

Authentic love for one another is that which sets the disciples of JESUS, those who are homeward bound, apart from those who have no hope. So the apostles/disciples shared their hope with everyone, through their words, love, and deeds.

AND WHAT ABOUT US?

We too can actually love one another in an authentic way because God’s love has been poured into our hearts.

Christ’s love within us urges us to love one another in a way that is patient, humble, kind, generous and forgiving. I encourage you to talk about this amongst yourselves, within your inner circle: what does patient love look like? Humble love? Etc. Let’s encourage and inspire one another to become more loving!

This love that we give and receive from each other is the heart/key of our bearing witness to others of the HOPE we have in JESUS! As we love one another and strive to love the people in our four circles of love, the hearts and lives of those we love will begin to thirst for streams of living water!

And who will show them the way to these streams of living water?

As you begin to share with others WITH WORDS, the reason for your HOPE; who JESUS is, what He has done for you, how much He loves you, and how much He loves them, you will begin to show others and lead others on the path that leads to JESUS, to eternal life.

Your words will open the ears of others, those you are loving, to hear this sweet invitation of JESUS:

“LET ANYONE WHO THIRSTS COME TO ME AND DRINK . . . ‘RIVERS OF LIVING WATER WILL FLOW FROM WITHIN HIM’ WHO BELIEVES IN ME!” John 7:37-39

IT’S TIME! YOU CAN DO THIS!

This Memorial Day weekend, let’s remember those who have given their lives for our earthly freedom, and worship the One who died and rose to ensure our eternal freedom. Remember to pray for one another.
